Charleston is known as one of the most dog-friendly cities in the United States. All the reason to take your dog on a great vacation full of gorgeous architecture, southern charm, history, great food, and excellent hotel accommodations. I recently took a trip to Charleston with my dog Teddy, and we had a fabulous time. I will provide you with where we stayed, places to eat and things to do.
HOTEL EMELINE: If you love interior design you will fall in love with this hotel. It has the most beautiful details that you will want to replicate in your own home. The lobby is very inviting with lots of comfortable seating and pretty books that you can enjoy or you can relax and grab a drink at the bar and hang out with friends.
The rooms are very comfortable and even provide you with a record player to play music. Since you are bringing your dog they will provide you with a large comfy dog bed, bowl, and a dog treat made by their own in-house pastry chef. There is a a nonrefundable pet-fee of $100 and they allow 1 dog per room that is 40 pounds and under.
They offer 4 dining options. Frannie & the fox offers indoor & outdoor dining that features Italian dishes and wood-fired pizzas. Clerks Coffee Company offers great coffee options and lite bites and breakfast. Hank’s Seafood Restaurant is their neighbor that is inside of a turn-of-the-century warehouse that offers seafood and a raw bar. Lastly you can do in room dining.
If you want to shop they have a great store in their lobby that features a lot of merchants that are local. You can find something for anyone on your list that you need to provide a gift for or even a gift just for you. They have jewelry, candles, hats and much more.
You won’t be disappointed with their amenities they offer bikes, Countryman Mini Cooper house car, local maps and complimentary sparkling & still water, and fresh fruit on guest floors. My favorite part is where it is located you can walk around to so many places.
